Finding Your Assignment

May 25, 2025    Pastor Timothy Giles

Scriptures:

Galatians 6:4-5 MSG, Matt 7:7-8;13, Acts 13:1-3, 1 Tim 4:14

Message (Big idea):

Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you've been given

Meditation (Think about it):

-Your assignment is in you

-Go after it and do not relent

-Scripture, prophecy, and leadership will confirm

Motivation (What can I do):

Prayerfully consider your assignment. Based on what you've heard write down a couple things you can do to move forward:

1.

2.

--------

How people in the Bible found their assignment:

Peter - Small business owner and Jesus finds Him and calls Him

Paul - Serving, just in the wrong place

Phillip - Friends brought him

David - Called, stayed faithful, recognized by leadership and took His opportunity

Joshua - Faithfully served under Moses and became His successor

Gideon - Actively hiding from God when an angel finds him

Matt - In a bad spot doing bad stuff, Jesus calls him

Elizabeth - Past her prime and called by God to watch over the next gen

Sarah - Challenged by God to believe the impossible and become a mother

Abraham - Obeyed God's direction without all the details

Mary - Called to be a Godly mother (to Jesus)

John the Baptist - Called to prepare people for someone else's ministry
